Love from people

I received a greeting card from my friend Clarissa, and I was deeply touched by what she wrote. Clarissa is a beautiful person—warm, funny, sincere, passionate about her work, and deeply caring toward the people she loves. As she leaves Beijing for a new city and a new chapter of her life, I'm sending her my heartfelt wishes, even as I find it difficult to say goodbye.

Our last hug, the encouragement we gave each other, and the words she wrote in that card will stay with me. They have given me renewed strength to love others wholeheartedly, sincerely, and courageously.

When I realize how much love surrounds me, I feel that I can face almost any difficulty without fear.

Today is Sunday. I'm sitting in front of my computer and notice a coaster — a small gift from my colleague. It reminds me of her kindness, and I feel a quiet warmth. I want to start this blog to capture these little moments of care I receive from others.

Last week, our company had a meeting in another city, and during the free time, we visited the Nanjing Zoo. Zoey shared a room with me on that trip. On our last night there, she gave me this gift, and I could feel her love for animals and the joy she wanted to share with me. She's a lovely girl who is smart, warm, energetic, and thoughtful. She loves traveling and approaches her work with passion and ambition. I really admire her, and I feel so lucky to have met her at work, to collaborate with her, and to become friends.
